Map from earthquakes around the Pacific ring of fire… From Pakistan (left) to Hawaii (left) via USGS

The earthquake activity on Friday, May 13, 2016 was especially high from Pakistan to Hawaii.

From 19 earthquakes in the area, only two were below M4.5. Insane

I think this is worth noting. According to USGS, 33 earthquakes (larger than M2.5) hit areas around the world. From these 33, 19 struck the Pacific. And from these 19 only two were below M4.5.

That’s a pretty amazing!
